Las Vegas is much more than just the Gambling Capital of the World. It also has some incredible neighborhoods that anyone would be lucky to live in. One of the most interesting things about living in Sin City is that the cost of living in Las Vegas is lower than expected. Some of the best areas to live in Las Vegas have homes that cost an average of $100,000. Keep reading for our choices on where to look when moving to Las Vegas.

  1. The Lakes

    The Lakes are aptly named as there are plenty of lakes to go around here. There’s also a lot of natural beauty and activities for enthusiasts, such as the Spring Mountains. That’s to say nothing of the dining and shopping experiences on offer. The Lakes is one of the more expensive areas to live, but still one of the nicest.

  2. Tule Springs

    Tule Springs is among the safest places to live in Las Vegas, ranking third on our list. Don’t worry too much about your winnings if you do head out to the casino. Having constant access to The Strip is one of the perks of moving to Las Vegas after all. Be sure to spend some time up in Floyd Lamb Park when you want to get away from it all.

  3. Lone Mountain

    “Lone Mountain” isn’t too lonely when you consider that there are some 50,000 residents living there. This is a great place to live in Las Vegas but we’d have to recommend that you get a job before moving in. Living in Lone Mountain is as safe as it is stunning as this area also has a low crime rate.

  4. Kyle Canyon

    Kyle Canyon offers great neighbors, great views, and overall a great quality of life. Kyle Canyon is a wonderful place to live and work, scoring high for both job opportunities and education. If you want a safe place to live with your family and build a future for yourself, then Kyle Canyon is easily one of the best areas to live in Las Vegas.

  5. Sun City Summerlin

    Sun City Summerlin really earned its name when you consider the sun shines for an average 293 days out of the year. This lovely location ranks among the best in Las Vegas when it comes to employment and safety. Overall, Sun City is a great place to raise the entire family.

  6. Sheep Mountain

    Sheep Mountain is where to be if you want to find the place with the cheapest cost of living in Las Vegas. It’s probably the closest thing Las Vegas offers to a small town living with some 17.5k residents. Given that the neighborhood scores well for median income and home prices, it’s fair to say this is the best kept secret in all of Nevada.

  7. Summerlin North

    Summerlin North isn’t the best place in the world to rent a home, but it is one of the best places in Las Vegas to buy one. The neighborhood ranks as one of the best in terms of median income, making summerlin North a great place to live and work.

  8. Centennial Hills

    Beverly isn’t the only Hills when it comes to great places to live. Centennial Hills is situated in the northwest corner of Las Vegas and it offers the best income while also being one of the overall safest places to live. If you’re considering moving to Las Vegas, then be sure to look for a home in the hills; the Centennial Hills.

  9. North Cheyenne

    North Cheyenne is another neighborhood to the northwest side of Las Vegas. This is the place to be if you consider yourself a regular traveler as the North Las Vegas Airport is right nearby. The area also offers a lot when it comes to tract housing and is the 11th best place in the city for affordable housing.

  10. Buffalo

    Last but not least on our list is Buffalo, Las Vegas. Don’t let the fact it’s number 10 put you off as the area ranks tenth best for income but third-best for affordable housing. You can look forward to finding a good home and job in the neighborhood. It’s also one of the best places to raise a family with excellent schools, three beautiful parks, and plenty of dining and shopping to enjoy.
